| I went to the WIA meeting. We started in a small room with a rather large guy wearing too much cologne. It was slow going, as if none of us could understand (perhaps some of us couldn't) unless we were told several times. We moved to the computers, although I wasn't certain which group I needed to be in. Once we were using the computers, I was much more comfortable. Was it because everyone's attention was focused elsewhere? I did get some information, though. The cologne guy, B., said they can definitely help me. We hit it off instantly, and laughed through our business. I set up an appointment to meet E. on Tuesday for assessment and application to the program. Maybe the advisor that sent me here wasn't so bad afterall! |

I'm trying to plan A.'s party. This has been one of the worst weeks of my life. I don't do parties. If I type anything else about this, I think my head will explode.
I can't wait until this is over. |

| I had an appointment at the college today. Financial Aid doesn't want to pay for an entirely different degree, since I'm nearly done with my AAOT. The guy I met with was very friendly, but I'm more confused than ever. I told him my immediate goal was to get a job, but to get into an office, I need to brush the dust off my skills. Accounting seems the most lucrative for my background, but I'd need a lot more than brusher-classes. I'm supposed to go to an orientation for the WIA program (some federal thing). I'm concerned about income playing a factor - does S make too much? Will I be wasting their/my time? I'm also supposed to call about some secretary certificate. I guess that would get me something for my resumé, but I already know just about everything. UGH! What about my AAOT? |

While I was waiting for my second flight to the midwest, S. called to keep me company.
"Yamaha is offering special rates on their motorcycles," S. said.
We had been looking at motorcycles for a few months - but it was still only a dream.
"Oh yeah?" I replied. "Maybe when I get back we can go find one."
The next day I was talking to my dad about motorcycles. He asked me to have S. email a photo of the one we were interested in.
I called S.
"Will you send me a link to the bike you and I like?" I asked.
"You mean like the one parked in the driveway?"
And then I had to wait an entire week to see it.
Oh - what kind is it? A 2007 Suzuki Boulevard M109R.
